STEM Support

A gift from Ken Tator ’63 and his wife, Maureen, in support of writing in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), funded a workshop to help faculty integrate more writing into these courses. The session was led by Neal Lerner, associate professor and writing center director, Northeastern University, who previously trained faculty at MIT for the same purpose.

Tator, a chemical engineering graduate, holds an MBA from Columbia University. He is chairman of the board of KTA-Tator Inc., a consulting engineering firm in Pittsburgh, Pa., founded by his father in 1949.
