On May 11, The Philadelphia Inquirer published an op-ed by Diane Shaw, College archivist emeritus, about the historical significance of Marie Adrienne Françoise de Noailles, wife of Marquis de Lafayette. Shaw also noted the bronze bust of Adrienne, which was dedicated at the entrance of Skillman Library March 7, should be an inspiration to consider and understand the contributions of all the women who helped the United States achieve its independence.
