Kay Bergethon Remembered

A MEMORIAL SERVICE honoring Kay Bergethon, wife of the late K. Roald Bergethon, Lafayette’s president from 1958 to 1978, was held May 7 in Colton Chapel.

Kay Bergethon died March 26. She was an esteemed First Lady of the College during Roald Bergethon’s administration as Lafayette’s 12th president. In 1978 she received an honorary degree from Lafayette, as did her husband, who died in 2004. As requested by the family, contributions may be made to the Katherine L. and K.
