Every gift matters, every year. You have undoubtedly seen this slogan before on something mailed to you from the College. Do you ever wonder if it really does matter? How can even a small gift help? Take a look at Lafayette’s 2010–11 alumni giving record, and you will have the answer.
Last year, more than 8,200 alumni contributed $15,342,045 to Lafayette in amounts ranging from $1 up to seven figure gifts. Regardless of size, they all added up to help the College reach this impressive total and achieve its goal of providing all students with the fi nest experiences possible. Not only does this support help our current students, but also helps Lafayette attract the best and brightest applicants.
The 8,237 alumni who made a contribution in 2010–11 represent 37% of Lafayette’s alumni base, three percentage points higher than 2009–10. Our goal for 2011–12 is 40%, a number we achieved regularly prior to 2009.
The names of these donors appear on the following pages, in class order, as an expression of our gratitude for their generosity. Although this list includes only alumni donors, the College’s community of support is far broader. Comprehensive listings of alumni, parents, friends, faculty, and staff who contribute to Lafayette appear in the 2010-11 Summary of Giving and Volunteer Participation. Please visit http://summaryofgiving.lafayette.edu to see the names of everyone within the Lafayette community whose support between July 1, 2010, and June 30, 2011, helped make Lafayette such an extraordinary place.
Every effort has been made to make this list as accurate as possible. If your name has been omitted or misspelled, we sincerely apologize. Please let us know of any errors by contacting us at fund@lafayette.edu or (610) 330-5034.
