A volume based on the proceedings of “The Future of the Liberal Arts College in America and Its Leadership Role in Education around the World,” sponsored by Lafayette College and Swarthmore College in April 2012, is now available from Johns Hopkins University Press.
Remaking College: Innovation and the Liberal Arts, edited by Rebecca Chopp, Susan Frost, and former Lafayette president Daniel H. Weiss, is a collection of essays that elucidate the shifting economic and financial models for liberal arts colleges and consider the opportunities afforded by technology, globalism, and intercollegiate cooperative models.
The national conference, held at Lafayette and attended by more than 200 liberal arts college presidents and administrators, was made possible with support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
