23 new businesses opened in downtown Easton in 2013 including restaurants, stores, and service operations.
“We’ve seen more people living downtown and the addition of 100+ market-rate apartments,” says Kim Kmetz, Easton Main Street manager. “The City’s ‘Clean & Safe’ initiatives and the Easton Ambassador Program have made the town more attractive and welcoming.” She says the Easton Farmers’ Market draws 2,500 to 4,000 visitors every week, and the newly remodeled Crayola Experience anticipates 450,000 people every year.
“After considering a number of areas in the Lehigh Valley, I found Easton the most progressive and adaptable,” says Sharon Cercone, owner of Briva Coffee. “There are many people committed to bringing new, quality businesses to downtown, creating a place for people to live, work, and play.”
