New Program to Bring Students from India

In cooperation with Global Pathways Institute of Mumbai, Lafayette will offer the opportunity for students who have completed two years of undergraduate courses there to finish their degree
in Easton.

“Lafayette is proud to be among the first schools to sign on with this initiative. When we heard the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was moving in this direction, we knew this would fit with our overall efforts to further diversify and globalize our applicant pool,” says Greg MacDonald, vice president for enrollment management. “While we have been visiting India on a regular basis in recent years, this gives us a valuable foothold in a critically important market to build the relationships necessary to grow enrollments from India.”

GPI is collaborating with Pennsylvania and with Narsee Monjee Educational Trust.

Students must follow admission procedures similar to those for international students at Arcadia University and achieve appropriate grades to qualify to finish the second two years in Pennsylvania at one of the partner universities. “Since the curriculum is similar to the one we offer, local faculty, scholars, and researchers will be trained to teach according to our standards,” says Barbara Nodine, Arcadia’s provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Other participants include Drexel University, Villanova University, Millersville University, Duquesne University, University of the Sciences, Wilson College, and Chatham University.
