New Trustees

James R. Birle Jr. ’83, John A. Fry ’82, and Douglas R. Marvin ’69 were elected to the Board of Trustees May 20 and began five-year terms July 1. Jeffrey P. Feather ’65 and Michael H. Moskow ’59, who each served on the board for 15 years, retired and were elected to emeritus status.

Birle is a senior advisor and head of equity capital markets at Evercore Partners. Fry was inaugurated April 15 as the 14th president of Drexel University (see “John Fry ’82 Inaugurated at Drexel” in this issue). He previously served as a trustee from 1998 to 2002. Marvin is a partner in the law firm of Williams & Connolly, Washington, D.C. He previously served on the board from 2005 to 2009.

Feather is vice chairman of National Penn Bancshares Inc., Boyertown, Pa., and chairman of Lehigh Valley Industrial Park. He is the co-founder and former chairman of Pentamation Enterprises, now SunGard Pentamation. Moskow, the former president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, is vice chairman and senior fellow on the global economy of the Chicago Council on Foreign Affairs. Margaret G. Axelrod ’74 concluded a five-year term as alumni trustee. She is an attorney in the law firm of Muchnick Golieb & Golieb, New York.
