David A. Reif ’68 and Susan L. Fox ’88 were elected to five-year terms on the Board of Trustees that began July 1. Susan B. Carras ’76, who served 17 years, was elected to emerita status and recognized at the 179th Commencement.
Reif, who has been a trial lawyer for the past 30 years, is currently partner at the Hartford, Conn., office of McCarter & English, LLP. His focus is on distributorship law and products liability. A government and law graduate, Reif holds a JD from Harvard Law School.
Having just completed two years as president of the Alumni Association, Reif previously served two years as president-elect of the association and prior to that was vice president for outreach on the Alumni Council, with oversight of the undergraduate relations, young alumni, career services, and Alumni Admissions Representatives committees.
Fox is vice president of government relations for The Walt Disney Company, Washington, D.C. She represents Disney’s operating divisions before the federal government. She previously served as deputy chief, Mass Media Bureau at the FCC. She holds an A.B. in engineering and a J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law.
An Alumni Admissions Representative and Class Fund Agent, Fox has been a guest speaker on campus and a student mentor through the Gateway program.
