Thomas Wilson ’12, a high school algebra and chemistry teacher living in Taylors, S.C., traveled to Culver City, Calif., in February to compete on Jeopardy! Being a contestant has long been a goal for the chemistry major, and he’s advanced to auditions three times over the years. While he wasn’t quizzed on chem during his April 15 appearance—that category was covered in the following episode—he did answer 15 questions correctly, including a $1,600 Daily Double clue about IRS jobs. Says Wilson, “It was a great experience being on that stage.”
