Joe Giaimo became executive director of the Maroon Club in August.
“Joe brings great experience as a student-athlete, coach, and development professional, which will serve the College well as we strive to improve the quality of the student-athlete experience through the help of our dedicated alumni, parents, and friends,” said Bruce McCutcheon, director of athletics.
Giaimo will work with Maroon Club volunteers and coaches to build on the accomplishments of the Lafayette Friends funds and committees.
Giaimo comes to Lafayette from Wesleyan University where he was assistant director for the Wesleyan Fund and an assistant football coach. Captain of the football and baseball teams as an undergraduate, he received a B.A. in economics and an M.A. in liberal studies and social sciences from Wesleyan.
