THE GREATER Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce honored the College for its contributions to Easton at its annual economic outlook luncheon Jan. 25. President Daniel H. Weiss accepted the chamber’s Community Development Award, saying it’s a credit to both the College and city that the relationship they share is “profound and rich. Sometimes town-gown relationships become contentious, but that hasn’t happened here. We work together toward a shared vision.”
Easton mayor Sal Panto Jr. said, “It’s an honor to showcase a member of our community that is involved in every facet of the city. Without Lafayette, the city would not be what it is today.”
