Dear Alumni, Parents, and Friends,
We would like to share some exciting news regarding Lafayette magazine. The College has decided to embark on a comprehensive redesign of the magazine for the first time in eight years. After so much that has happened in the publishing industry and at the College during these years, it is time we take this on. It’s going to allow us to rethink the magazine in ways that will make it even more valuable to alumni, and we look forward to unveiling a robust new design in 2023.
During this interim period, Class Notes will be available online and will continue to be mailed to the magazine distribution list. Look for the summer version of Class Notes to arrive in your mailbox soon. We also hope you enjoy reading some of the exciting stories we have put together specially this summer for our magazine readers.
You may be interested to know that the Lafayette magazine has been in existence since 1930! As you can imagine, it has been through several redesigns over the years, including name changes. The first issue published in 1930 was entitled Lafayette Alumnus. The name was changed to the Lafayette Quarterly in 1974 and to Lafayette magazine in 1988. If you are interested in viewing previous issues of the magazine, they have been digitized thanks to the Friends of Lafayette Libraries, and are available to view.
Thank you for your patience during this redesign process.
