Hugh Moore Park

Lauren Anderson ’04, William Jeffers Director of Engineering, and Chris Anderson, associate professor of chemical and biological engineering, and their sons Evan, 7, and Ethan, 5, are weekend regulars at Hugh Moore Park. “When we moved to nearby Riegelsville, Pa., we tried to find a new park to explore every weekend, and this became one of our favorites,” Lauren says. The 520-acre park, located between the Lehigh River and the Lehigh Canal, is a 15-minute drive from downtown Easton. Evan and Ethan climb on the playground equipment, toss rocks in the creek, and enjoy impromptu playdates when they run into friends here. With a bike-skills course, canal boat rides, and opportunities to kayak and canoe here, it’s a spot the young Andersons won’t soon outgrow.
