Development: Alumni Participation

How is Your Class Doing?

DURING THE LAST TWO YEARS, Lafayette’s alumni participation rate — the percentage of graduates making contributions to the College — has stood at 34 percent. This year’s goal is to exceed 37 percent.

How is your class doing? Compared to last year? Compared to other classes from your decade? Compared to all Lafayette classes?

Here is the challenge. Can you and your classmates improve your participation rate by three percentage points over last year? Yes — if those who gave last year do so again and 10-20 additional donors participate. Your class may end up with a higher participation than the class that graduated before you. Maybe you’ll be the best class in your decade — or the best in any decade!

The alumni participation rate is viewed by publishers of college rankings as a significant indicator of alumni satisfaction and contributes to how Lafayette is perceived by prospective students. Every gift — even $5, $10, or $20 — helps lift the participation rate and helps Lafayette continue to compete successfully with our peer institutions to attract the best and brightest students.

Your gift will help your class rise to the challenge.
