Welcome to the spring issue of Lafayette magazine.

Spring is usually a time of renewal, growth, and optimism. On campus, it’s a time when friends congregate on the Quad, festivities fill the campus events calendar, and loved ones gather together to celebrate the graduating class. This spring is different. As this issue was going to press, the COVID-19 global pandemic escalated, drastically altering campus life. It is our hope that this collection of stories will lift your spirits and enhance your pride in being part of the Lafayette community. In this issue you will learn about alumni who are using their skills and passions to help others, faculty and staff who are using their expertise to improve the world around them, and students who are following in their footsteps.

We are continuing to cover not only how the Lafayette community is responding to this global crisis, but also the stories of scholarship, service, and engagement that make Lafayette, Lafayette. If you are not a subscriber to our three regular newsletters—From the Hill, Pard Pride, and GoLeopards.com Daily—please subscribe here, and please send your story ideas to comdiv@lafayette.edu.

Stay well.
